Stopped in for an acai bowl this morning and wasn’t disappointed! The portion was huge! I went with the large and it was so good. I’m super impressed at how much fruit they put on top. Other places don’t give the value you’ll find here. I went with acai for my base and then added peanut butter with granola and fruit. My only complaint is the charge for peanut butter

Listen, Northside Shack has THEE best acai bowls ever, IMO! I’ve tried a lot of places, and you cannot beat the quality, portion size, or price anywhere else. There’s a multitude of fruit toppings to choose from & they are always fresh, and the acai itself is flavorful and perfectly frozen. I usually treat myself once a week! Only con at the Point Loma location is the wait, and at the Northpark location the parking lot is tiny. I so wish they had more locations around SD!
It was my first time visiting this venue and couldn’t have been more satisfied. The staff was super friendly and very helpful pointing me in the right direction with my order. My juice blend was healthy and so tasty. I almost wanted to go back. Also the if you like fruit bowls this place is worth checking out. I will for sure be visiting again.
Best acai bowls ever!! Worth the trip. No seating or anything like that, just order at a window but man it’s delicious. And unlimited toppings!!!! Recommend adding organic PB.
The best Acai bowl hands down! I got a medium Acai with hemp granola, banana, strawberry, mango, honey, coconut & blueberries. The fruit was incredibly fresh and it was so delish! The prices are very reasonable for the portions and quality of ingredients. This will be a must visit spot anytime I'm in SoCal.
A famous and popular food blogger recommended this place and covered it in his SD vlog. Since then I have my eyes in this place. Finally I got the chance in my recent SD trip. I was working from home, so my husband went to pick a breakfast acai bowl for me. I ordered a medium size, and that was quite huge, with acai sorbet, many different fruits and coconut and granola, and nuts etc. the ensemble is perfect to start a day. It’s so refreshing and tasty. Do visit them if you want a real acai bowl.
I absolutely love this shack! The food is delicious and energizing—a breakfast I wish I could enjoy every single day. 2 smoothies and a plate for 40. There are no tables where you could eat, only some benches and a few parking spots but they are not busy when we visited.
